The Elephant Room

Sunday brunch has to be one of my favorite activities. Griffin and I love trying new places to fill up our tummy and make the thought of doing ridiculous amounts of homework later on in the day a little easier. This weekend we went to The Elephant Room in Cranston, Rhode Island. It was delicious, to say the least, and very reasonably priced. The Elephant Room is a cute quaint cafe better described as a “looseleaf tearoom and crêperie”. We walked in for brunch around 1:00 p.m. and sat at the platform area overlooking the dining room. Griffin ordered French Pressed Coffee which came with two little biscuits. I ordered a white tea that I, unfortunately, don’t recall the name of, but regardless it was excellent. Griffin ordered a “Buffalo Turkey & tomato topped with mix greens and blue cheese dressing” crêpe. Being the opposite type of person, I decided to go sweet and ordered the “Mixed Berry Vanilla Blintz” crêpe. Now, coming from a very French family, I am picky about my crêpes and know the difference between good crêpes and bad crêpes. These were REALLY good crêpes. Make sure to look at the menu online and stop by for breakfast, lunch, or dinner if you’re ever in the area!

What’s your favorite place to go out for brunch? Leave a comment below! I always love trying new food places. This week since I’m home I’m excited to get brunch at some old favorites around my hometown. Now that it’s officially Winter season, make sure to relax this week and spend time with family. Always remember that giving is better than receiving and that above all, quality time with those you love triumphs any gift. Happy Holiday Season!
